About Eric

Approximately twenty (20) years of experience at the Scholastic, Collegiate, and Professional Level as a player, coach, teaching professional.

During the past fifteen(15) years I have been involved in a variety of teaching and coaching situations that have substantially broadened my understanding of how to promote the game of tennis from basic fundamentals to competitive play.

I enjoy working with people at all levels and feel I have demonstrated an ability to get along with diverse groups in a variety of working environments.

TENNIS – PLAYING HISTORY

Professional

During and after my collegiate career I competed in Professional Satellite, Futures, and Challenger Tournaments throughout the country.

Collegiate

Competed for the University of Washington Men’s Husky Tennis Team for four years achieving All-American Honors in Singles and Doubles under the coaching direction of Matt Anger.

Scholastic

Achieved Top Ten National Ranking 18 and under.  USTA National Team Member.

Current – Open Tournaments

Over 20 years competing in the Pacific Northwest Professional Tennis Circuit reaching a ranking of number 1 in both singles and doubles.

TEACHING AND COACHING EXPERIENCE

1999 - Professional at Pro Sports Club and Seattle Tennis Club, Bellevue & Seattle, WA
2000 - Head Varsity Tennis Coach, Busch High School, Seattle, WA (12-0) Undefeated!
2001-2003 - Director of Junior Tennis Development and hitting amongst top touring juniors at Saddlebrook Tennis Academy, Tampa, FL
2001-2003 - Private Hitting and Traveling Coach throughout the United States for World’s #1 ranked player Martina Hingis, Hitting Coach for World’s #1 ranked player Jennifer Capriati, and WTA professional Anna Kournikova.
2003 - Professional Tennis Coach at USTA National Tennis Center, ran exhibitions for various events, and charity events throughout the New York Area. Flushing Meadows, NY
2003-2004 - World Team Tennis, (W.T.T.) Sports Commentator and Sales Director for the New York Hamptons Tennis Team, Montauk, NY. Personally employed by John and Patrick McEnroe.
2004-2006 - Sturtevant's Sports. Manager of various tennis activities, planning retail events, and conducting outside sales exhibition and promoting outside sales events. Number one on my sales team in the year 2004.
